Option 1 · Instantly

In the LectureCam app

1. Open LectureCam and sign in.
2. Go to Settings, then Help & Terms, and tap Delete account.
3. Slide right to delete, then tap Accept.

Your account is closed straight away and you are signed out everywhere, and any subscription bought on our website is cancelled. Your photos, notes and account are kept for 30 days in case you change your mind — write to us within that time and we can restore it — and then deleted for good. A subscription bought in the iPhone or iPad app is billed by Apple: cancel it in your Apple ID’s subscriptions (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), as deleting the account cannot. The time left on a paid plan is not refunded automatically. If you are owed a refund, ask for it first with the Refund form.

Option 2 · Without the app

By email

Write to support@lecturecam.com from the email address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. If you write from another address, we will ask you to confirm the account is yours before deleting anything.

Once we have confirmed the request is yours, we close the account straight away, keep its data for 30 days in case of a mistake, then delete it for good, and email you when it is done. Ask, and we will delete it without the 30-day wait.

What is deleted, and what is kept

• Deleted, 30 days after you ask: your account and sign-in details (password, Google or Apple link, passkeys), your profile, the photos you took or uploaded, the notes, diagrams and summaries made from them, your subjects and folders, and the devices signed in to your account.
• Kept for a limited time, and why: records of payments you made, which we and our payment providers (Stripe and Apple) must keep for tax and accounting (seven years in Malaysia); messages you sent us through the Appeal form or by email, for up to 24 months after the matter is closed, in case of a dispute; and a scrambled code for each device the account was used on, for up to 24 months, so that deleting an account does not reset the limit on accounts per device. Copies in backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Want to keep your account but remove some data? Delete individual notes in the app at any time. Deleted notes stay in the trash for 30 days, then are removed for good. More in our Privacy Policy.
